Bradley Brook Cottage Self catering ideal for Chester Wrexham and Malpas

When you come and stay at Bradley Brook Cottage you will enjoy the atmosphere which is part of the very fabric of the Cottage and the surrounding countryside. You will appreciate the comfort of the cottage and its facilities and will want to return again and again.

Bradley Brook Cottage is made up of what were originally two farm workers cottages on a local estate and part of it dates back to the early 19th century. These Cottages were merged and extended in the 1990s and you are now able to enjoy the modern facilities housed in a traditional Cheshire brick cottage.

Downstairs

You will enter the Cottage through a traditional stable door into the fully equipped limed oak kitchen. A table and chairs are situated next to the window. In the mornings you will enjoy your breakfast whilst admiring the rural views which this location provides. (A high chair is available)

A door from the kitchen will take you into the snug which is a comfortable sitting room where you may want to relax and read a book. Also in the snug you will find the staircase which takes you upstairs and the solid oak front door which leads back to the lane. The snug boasts a double aspect and a beamed ceiling. Take care when you go through the door into the snug – or through any door at the Cottage -they are all low!
From the snug you enter the dining room. Like many previous guests at the Cottage you will appreciate the ambience that this room will provide should you decide to eat in style. An oak refectory table and an oak dresser help to provide the perfect setting for an enjoyable evening in.
The dining room also has a beamed ceiling.

After your meal you will want to go and enjoy the comfort of the main sitting room which is next door to the dining room. You may want to watch the television or a DVD or simply relax. There is a unique fireplace in this room and a log burner which epitomises the country cottage experience.

Upstairs

The stairs from the snug will take you up to a landing area. At the top of the stairs is a small window which overlooks the Goodmoors. There are three bedrooms in the Cottage. One is a single room and two are doubles. All have low sloping ceilings and all have great views over the countryside. You won’t hear much traffic as the Cottage is situated at the end of a long lane.
One of the bedrooms has an en-suite shower room with WC and there is a bathroom with WC too. A portable cot is available.

The Garden

Your first view of the Cottage will be from the lane. You will see that it stands above the road on a retaining wall. The York stoned driveway leads to a paved parking area for up to four cars. There is a range of outbuildings in which is situated the utility room with washing machine and tumble drier.
To the front of the Cottage there is a lawned area and a colourful flower border to the rear with a lily pond (behind a railing for safety purposes.) The main garden is to the side of the Cottage. It is extremely private and contains a number of old fruit trees and plants. In all the area extends to about half an acre. If you want to spend time in peace and quiet in the fresh air then this is the place for you.
