About Ecodek
Ecodek makes wood plastic composite decking and balcony boards at its factory on Abenbury Way. The company says its solid composite boards are made from 95 per cent recycled and sustainably sourced materials, and are designed to look like timber while needing less maintenance.
The business was founded in Wrexham in 2002 as Vannplastic Limited, trading as Ecodek. In 2015 it was bought by Epwin Group, the UK maker of PVC windows, doors and building products, which described Ecodek at the time as the leading British supplier of wood plastic composite products. Ecodek is one of the estate businesses that has worked with North Wales Wildlife Trust, sowing a wildflower verge at its site.
